For the second time this year, I've been nominated by Jho at Cinderella Stories. Thanks, friend! So I decided to use this chance and answers the question this time. It's my first time doing this so please treat me kindly.
1 How long have you been a blogger?
Quite a long time ago. Around 2006 (I think). Back then I had no interest in Facebook, Twitter or other social media, my internet presence revolved only around my blog. Story blogging, that's all I wanted to do, then I kind of got sucked in with all these different sites that juggling all of it made me snap. Then two years ago I realized, nope, I love blogging after all. Though, it's still hard to keep it updated nowadays.
2 At what point do you think you will stop?
Haha :D I don't know, maybe when the internet no longer exist? Haha :D
3 What is the best thing?
Hmm. I guess receiving physical books from authors. Talked and get acquainted with other bloggers. Receiving messages and reviews from readers. And just as Jho said on her blog:
"I also love that I get blog awards. Lol. I love the awards; it means someone, somewhere out there bothers to read what I write and that’s a good thing."
4 What is the worst thing?
Ugh. Writer's block! I hate it when I want to write something, but can't think of anything. And also feeling like no one cares about what you talked about.
5 How long does it take you to find/create pictures for your post?
It depends on what kind of image. If it's for a cover for a book review, I don't use that long because they’re usually provided by the authors. If not it's really easy to find them on the internet most of the time, Goodreads is an excellent source. For films, well, even easier. But if it's for my own personal post, there are occasions when I end up spending days searching or even pay a royalty-free image.
6 Who is your book crush?
I had many, but my most favorite is Kurama from YuYu Hakusho and Gintoki from Gintama. Gintoki seems like a good for nothing at first, but at the closer look he's actually the perfect boyfriend. Not only that he looks good, but he's strong and has a certain charm and gentleness for the ladies. I could go on and on, but let's not waste any more of your time at me fangirling.
7 What author would you like to have on your blog?
Anyone, but I'm a bit reserved to sports writers. I have nothing against them, but I'm not much of a sports person.
8 What do you wear when you write your blog posts?
It varies. Some days I'm in my night dress or bathrobe (like now, haha :D) while other time jeans and T-shirt or comfy clothes.
9 How long does it take you to prepare?
It depends, sometimes I use days planning a post, other time I simply sat down and got on with it within an hour or less.
10 How do you feel about the book/blogger community/culture?
Sometimes I love it, sometimes not. I guess it all depends on my mood. But in general, I like the blogger community. Without them going online will not be complete.
11 What do you think one should do to get a successful blog?
I don't know. Get social I think. Read and comment around, leaving traces of yourself everywhere you visit. Join book tours, participates in writer/readers event... or something like that.
I wanted to add more, but right now I can only think nominating this two wonderful blogs:
Thanks for reading this far!
