[Blog tour] Guest post by Ingrid Jonach

Wow, this is unpredicted of me. I was sure that only thing I'll be posting the whole May will the BuqoYA blog tour, which is organized by Opps! I Read A Book Again, just like this one. I was given the copy of Ms. Ingrid's book for review but that's for the future. For now, I'll only be a guest post.

Why I love writing sci-fi YA
by Ingrid Jonach

I love writing for young adults—mainly because I like reading young adult novels, so I guess I feel like I'm writing for myself. And, even though I’m now well beyond the traditional age bracket, my favourite contemporary author remains Sarah Dessen (who has just released her twelfth novel Saint Anything. Yay!).

When I was writing books for kids, I used to get asked all the time whether I had kids myself. I somewhat sheepishly replied,‘No,’ as if this somehow disqualified me from being able to entertain and educate that age group. After all, I was a kid once myself.

[Blog Tour] #buqoYA Bundle 4: Guest post by Dawn Lanuza

For today's #buqoYA blog tours, I welcome my first ever guest post is from one of my online classmate, Dawn Lanuza, writing about her publishing journey.

When I graduated from college and was enjoying my right to ‘rest’ after school, I finished writing a novella which is now – five years later – my first published book, The Boyfriend Backtrack. That manuscript sat on my e-mail as an attachment that whole time until I chanced upon a tweet. I was already following author Mina V Esguerra at the time (I was a big fan of My Imaginary Ex since it came out) and thought I’d give her tweet about Author at Once workshops a look.
It read: “Are you a young writer who wants to learn about today’s publishing business and have a chance to meet other young writers?”

[Blog Tour] #buqoYA 2: Sweet Complication

Would you do a set of dares to prove someone wrong? Would you risk your friendship so you can find love? Would you admit your real feelings? There are a lot of complications when it comes to finding love. Get the feels when you read these sweet stories.

D'01 by Sassy Fova

Kat Arcanghel has just turned 18 and she feels that it is the right time to fall in love. She finds herself falling for Alech Crisologo, but she has always thought of herself as adeviant/rebel and there’s nothing more mainstream than crushing on the guy that everybody loves, thus she fights her feelings and tries to search for the right one—just not him.

Will Kat continue rebelling against her own heart, or will she let her heart conquer the battle and let it lead the way? She’ll find the answer when she meets D’01.

Things get worse when she's paired up with him on a major project. Will she survive dream-turned-nightmare art camp, or will she go running back home, the very place she wanted to escape in the first place?

Excerpt:
For once, I didn’t hit the snooze button.

At 6 o’clock, I got up as soon as my alarm clock went off. Today is the day that I have to start acting mature: whether they be small matters like the alarm or other things that are more important,
