Coming home (for christmas)

A friend recommended a free eBook to me in Goodreads and to be honest I halfheartedly downloaded this short holiday story only because she recommended it. But I should have known that I would end up loving it.

Summary:

Christmas is a time to gather and share with family. But some families are without the ones they love. Noah is one such person, raising Conner – his fiancĂ©’s son – as they both wait for his return from his tour of duty. And there might just be a miracle for them this holiday season.

My (short) review:

This ebook is easy to read. It has a melancholy aura but a promise of happiness. The story is romantic and very heart warming for the coldest time of the year. Recommended read to all M/M lover for Christmas season.

A Hanky-panky Love

I haven't been in the mood to post anything for a while as I'm still struggling to finish my nanowrimo novel which seemed to have sapped the writing energy out of my brain. So, instead of writing I decided to finish reading the Tagalog romance that has been on my "currently reading" list on Goodreads for a while now.

So here it is! My first post for December before I went to my Christmas books.

A Hanky-panky Love by Haze Prado

My rating:  /

Summary:

And yes, kailangan ng romance sa pagitan nila, so kissing was needed and she became a willing participant…

My Review:

I bought this book because for some reason I got the impression that Shayla Gomez and Jayzon was based on Selena Gomez and Justin Beiber (probably because of the names.) Anyway, that aside the story quickly intrigue me. I love showbiz stories with bad kontrabida but Jamaica finally got on my nerve around chapter 8. I didn't mind it in the beginning but her I-don't-want-trouble attitude irritates me especially when she behaved as if she doesn't get why Fyodor threatened Shayla. Her self pity all to the way to the end was totally unreasonable too.
